The 30MW Data Center is in Nongsa Digital Park, Batam Indonesia

Founded this year, Data Center First Pte Ltd has launched its first data center located in Nongsa Digital Park, Batam Indonesia. The 30MW data center will be designed and constructed to Uptime Tier III standards.

The project by Data Center First at Batam Indonesia is expected to complete by 2023. Once finished, the Nongsa One DC campus will act as a digital bridge between Singapore and Nongsa.

"I really appreciate this 30MW data center project by Data Center First Pte Ltd and welcome the US$ 40 million Phase 1 roll-out. It is estimated that this single project can catalyse into Nongsa Digital Park up to a total US$ 300 million Foreign Direct Investment. It can stimulate the local economy by producing a large multiplier effect, accelerating digital transformation in Indonesia," said Bapak Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs.

This data center will sit on a total land area of 276,000 square feet and will be located in the Special Economic Zone of Nongsa Digital Park. This data center's campus design will allow it to independently scale its electricity needs.
