Alibaba Cloud to Set Up Data Centers in South Korea and Thailand

The company is setting up the data centers in 2022

Alibaba Cloud has announced plans to expand its presence in APAC. As part of this plan, the company will be setting up data centers in Thailand and South Korea in 2022. These data centers will help the nations' digital economies.

With the help of the new Alibaba Cloud data center, local businesses in South Korea will able to deploy mission-critical workloads, while delivering reliable and secure cloud services with lower latency. The data center in Thailand will deliver products and solutions that will help the Thai government's 20-year strategy to promote digital innovation and the development of sustainable technologies (Thailand 4.0).

"As one of the world's top three cloud service providers, we are committed to bringing our world-class, hyper-scale cloud infrastructure to South Korea and Thailand, so that we can support local businesses to be at the forefront of digital transformation," said Selina Yuan, General Manager of International Business, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence. "With our business insight serving global customers in multiple key industries from retail to finance, logistics and manufacturing, we believe we can support local customers in South Korea and Thailand to meet their digitalization needs from both a technology and services perspective."

Beyond this, Alibaba Cloud is also delivering products, technologies, and solutions to make public cloud more accessible to enterprises and developers.
