Hitachi Offers Better IOT Solutions with a US Based Data Analytics Company

The Japanese conglomerate company, Hitachi forms a new alliance with the US analytics company, Pentaho in expanding its IOT services. Hitachi, by choosing US as its global Internet of Things headquarters is making a bold move into the world of Internet of Things. The Japanese conglomerate is now combining its three U.S.- based tech units; Hitachi Data Systems, Hitachi Insight Group, and Pentaho to create a new single company called Hitachi Vantara. Although Vantara will be a subsidiary of Hitachi, it will be independently managed and will be headquartered in Santa Clara, California.

The company will be responsible for linking IT teams in Japan, China, India, Europe and elsewhere to develop new services and create proposals for clients in markets around the world from Silicon Valley. The company is planning to merge the latest advancements in technology like the artificial intelligence and sensors to produce products and services for the manufacturing industry and other related sectors.

Hitachi is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the Nikkei 225 and TOPIX indices. The IOT services are aimed at bringing positive changes in the infrastructure which includes traffic, energy and "smart city" projects. Their smart solutions include a traffic analysis system that can analyze the flow of people in the stations and bring solutions to reduce it, thereby keeping trains on time. Also, reports say that HDS chief executive Ryuichi Otsuki and President Brian Householder will hold the same positions at the new company.
