Publicis Groupe Announces launch of SCB Tech X, a joint venture between Publicis Sapient and SCB

SCB Tech X will be one of the largest fintech entities in Southeast Asia

Publicis Groupe has announced the launch of SCB Tech X, one of the largest fintech entities in Southeast Asia. This is a joint venture between Publicis Sapient and Siam Commercial Bank (SCB).

SCB Tech X will serve clients through Southeast Asia. It will not just deliver banking services but also non-banking services such as food delivery, health and wellness content and online travel booking to commercial institutions and consumers throughout the region.

The joint venture will be a platform-as-a-service business that will look to tap into the digital payments scene which is set to exceed $1 trillion in transaction value by 2025 in Southeast Asia. SCB Tech X will begin its journey with 1,200 employees, where 60% will come from SCB and 40% from Publicis Sapient. The entity will be headed by Trirat Suwanprateeb, SCB’s Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, who will become SCB Tech X's CEO.
