In order to ease the global expansion Visa and Marqeta has announced their coming together on a new global venture. This partnership allows Visa to come to ten Asian markets in order to build, innovate and test their product. As digital payments are gaining popularity in Asian markets and a increase of $23 trn has been forecasted in the next ten years, this partnership would do a lot of good for both the companies. Start-ups based in Asia will benefit from this partnership as they will gain access to top of the line fintech programmes.
“Bringing Marqeta and Visa technology together like this in Asia-Pacific is creating an entirely new product proposition, at a scale that hasn’t been done before. The possibilities are massive, helping digital payments innovators scale faster in the world’s most rapidly evolving ecosystem.We’re excited to be working with Visa in Asia-Pacific on a forward thinking application of our technology,” was a statement that had been recorded from the CEO Jason Gardner of Marqeta.
Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Japan and Philippines are some of the countries that has been chosen as part of this venture in Asia and Pacific.
