IBM has partnered with other industry experts to offer solutions that will promote environmental sustainability

IBM’s CEO Arvind Krishna had stated that sustainability would be given primary importance going forward

In the highly fast-paced world we live in, something that is often overlooked is environmental issues. In recent times these issues have taken center stage with the rise in severe wildfires, floods, droughts, and weather incidents worldwide. Companies that are responsible for these irreversible damages are looking for new ways frantically to measure the impact created by their companies on these issues. The main motto of the findings is to reduce the damage and make contributions to a solution.

We should understand here that in order to improve our carbon footprint, we must have baseline measurements and keenly follow the data trend that makes use of certain software solutions. Recently we saw that Microsoft made an announcement regarding a solution called Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability. This solution is directed at enterprises to measure and collect the data needed to process and understand the trend. Microsoft is not alone in this, as several big names in the industry have also come together for the issue. Recently, Big Blue IBM’s CEO Arvind Krishna had stated that sustainability would be given primary importance going forward, and IBM’s acquisition of Envizi shows that it is indeed working towards alleviating the issues. All the proposed solutions are data-driven, and they will be collecting key data for meeting the sustainability goals.
