Apple is in the talk about producing MacBook and Apple watch in Vietnam

Apple is reportedly in the conversation for producing MacBook, Apple watches, and HomePods in Vietnam.

The growing conversation shows how the production giant is trying to expand its manufacturing outside China. Apple battled the supply chain disruptions due to increasing U.S.-China trade tensions and Covid lockdowns.

MacBook sales were short of consensus expectations in the fiscal third quarter of Apple. The deals also fell over 10% on a year-over-year basis. Apple iPad revenue beat expectations but was down 2% year-over-year. CEO Tim Cook said that the reason for such happenings was due to supply constraints and the strong dollar.

Apple has requested suppliers to set up a MacBook test production line, and also the suppliers have started testing Apple Watch production in Vietnam. The company is also in conversations to build HomePod speakers in the country. Apple already makes some AirPods in Vietnam and reportedly began to move some of its iPad production to the country in June.
