The Silicon Review
Search is foundational to many of the experiences we have every day. But it goes deeper than we might realize. The Story of Search is much more than search boxes and the top 10 results. In fact, there's a good chance that many of the problems you face each day are actually search problems. In today’s competitive market, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) marketing is more important than ever. Search engines serve millions of users per day looking for answers to their questions or for solutions to their problems. If you have a website, blog, or online store, SEO can help you get free targeted traffic from search engines.
Elastic is one such search company. As the creators of the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, and Logstash), it builds self-managed and SaaS offerings that make data usable in real time and at scale for use cases like application search, site search, enterprise search, logging, APM, metrics, security, business analytics, and many more. Thousands of organizations worldwide, including Cisco, eBay, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, The Mayo Clinic, NASA, The New York Times, Wikipedia, and Verizon, use Elastic to power mission-critical systems. Founded in 2012, Elastic is a distributed company with Elasticians working in countries around the world.

The burgeoning leader behind the success of Elastic
Shay Banon is the Founder and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Elastic. He has been fascinated with search ever since he tried to build a recipe app for hisy wife in 2004, a journey that led to him writing the first few lines of code of Elasticsearch in 2009 and later founding Elastic in 2012. He believes finding beauty and excelling is a combination of perspective and grit. As someone who got into computers by counting the number of job postings in the newspaper, he loves building things — a product, a community, or a company, and the process of acquiring the knowledge to do so.
“Whether it’s a developer building out their first search-powered solution or an executive seeking to transform data into actionable insights, Elastic’s free and open model delivers value.”
