The Silicon Review
For a modern tech enterprise, it is likely that it needs to plan, design, deliver, operate, and control the IT and cloud services. Cloud server management becomes vital at such a juncture. Malaysia-based RunCloud is a cloud server management tool that allows you to maintain full control of your server and host multiple WordPress, WooCommerce, Laravel, and PHP applications with fast and easy configuration.
Origin and Growth
The journey of RunCloud began when three friends set off to build a software company in 2014. The company made its online debut in the DigitalOcean Community Project. The company did its soft-launch as RunCloud in JomLaunch4, which was an event for over 20,000 members of the developer community-based in Malaysia. The company received a positive response with over three hundred sign-ups and was awarded as the Best Project. It then released a stable version.
The incredible journey of RunCloud began in 2017 when the product became well-liked by a large part of the community. And so, the three co-founders unanimously decided to expand RunCloud. In a short time, the company grew organically through referrals within the community. The company then launched a Referral Program righty to reciprocate the positive response.
Today, RunCloud is a modern web server panel for cloud servers such as AWS (Amazon Web Service), Digital Ocean, Google Cloud Platform, Alibaba Cloud, and other cloud providers. It is a quintessential must-have for the web developer who can use the platform to simplify the process of configuring, setting up cloud servers and deployment of web applications. The product enables easy web server management and application deployment. More than 80 countries all over the world are using RunCloud's product.
The growth is not surprising as the company has virtually removed the need of having a Linux expert who can build a website using DigitalOcean, AWS, or Google Cloud. A user can simply use RunCloud's graphical interface and build a business on the cloud affordably. RunCloud is renowned for One-Click Installers while still letting users be in full control. It runs cloud servers in optimal configurations. "Despite my 20 years of experience handling the nitty-gritty of setting up servers, I gave up on it because of RunCloud. It's easy to use, barely any "extra" config needed (other than my own OCD-ness), very performant, and best of all – I can control all my servers from one place," says Kevin Pirnie, Hosting Support Manager of Emagine.
When it comes to server management, RunCloud is doing plenty. It has created one dashboard that can rule all of your servers as an enterprise. Instead of logging into multiple websites and accounts, RunCloud helps the users' control servers from one sophisticated but easy-to-navigate RunCloud dashboard.
RunCloud's efforts were even acknowledged by the Malaysia Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, at the launching ceremony of the Ministry of Higher Education's National Economic Reform Plan (PENJANA) Career Advancement Program or KPT-CAP. He proudly said: "The company, now worth RM20 million, manages more than 230,000 web applications from over 100 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom and India, the company's main markets."
