Design Led Manufacturing
Amid rapid industry transformation, OEMs around the world are competing to develop products that are not only cost-effective but also meet increasingly stringent standards for quality and time-to-market. That is where Cyient comes in. Leveraging its engineering DNA, the company develops and manufactures the very same products it collaborates with its clients to design. The company calls this Design-Led Manufacturing (DLM).
By taking complete ownership of the product life cycle, from design engineering to production and machining, Cyient helps clients build innovative products faster with an unwavering commitment to quality and cost control.
Cyient has integrated design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities across multiple industries throughout North America, Europe and India for more than 25 years.
In addition to being one of the preferred industry partners by India's defense and space labs for critical aerospace, defense and space projects, Cyient’s electronic manufacturing facility is among the first to earn the AS9100 aerospace certification and the first in India to obtain the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP) certification for Circuit Card Assembly (CCA). Cyient’s mechanical manufacturing facility is also AS9100 certified.
From high-mix and high-tech to low- and medium-volume requirements, Cyient offers flexible manufacturing services that enable its clients to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.
Cyient’s DLM facility in Mysore, India, is dedicated to electronic manufacturing processes, including printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), cable harnesses and box builds, which closely align with its core competence in electronic systems design, integration, and manufacturing services. In addition, the staff operates from two product development areas: Unit 1 includes 168,000 sq. ft., and Unit 2 consists of 217,800 sq. ft. with dedicated surface-mount technology lines and plated through-hole lines.
From its DLM facilities in Bangalore (India), New Britain (US), and Florida (US) the firm’s associates produce high-precision, low-volume mechanical manufacturing products from its milling, drilling, grinding, and precision tooling facilities. The company’s infrastructure includes a combination of 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC machines, conventional and unconventional machines and metrology labs.
