The Silicon Review
May, 2019
Forward-thinking manufacturers and industrial product companies throughout the world are making efforts to connect their products and appliances to the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). While bringing about a new wave to transform the face of the industry, the IIoT is supposed to connect 50 billion devices by 2020 and redefine industries like energy, transportation, manufacturing and healthcare. The IIoT is a disruption that will take over sooner than what companies expect. Therefore, they need to invest in and adopt this technology now so that they can emerge as the future leaders of their market.
In light of the above mentioned, we are thrilled to present you AMWick Technologies Private Limited, a company that is trying to revolutionize the Industrial Automation and Industrial Internet of Things market with its Rudrino OneBox Solution. The company’s founders are well-experienced in Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT), and have expertise in Product and Solution Design, Development, Consulting and Implementation.
Co-founders Ajay Kamble and Manoj Chavanke spoke exclusively to The Silicon Review. Below is an excerpt.
Q. How is the technological and business market scenario in India?
Indian market is ever changing and ever growing. Companies have begun to realize the benefit of the latest technological trends and have started adopting the technology. While we may be slightly lagging behind the adoption acceleration as compared to developed countries in the west, but the scenario is fast changing. Even the startup ecosystem is booming in India and some of the Indian startups have already made a global name for themselves. We strongly believe that we are very well tuned to the global markets when it comes to business and technology.
Presently, we are working to create a global product that can address various Industrial IoT needs and is compliant to the major global standards. We still have some distance to cross before we reach there, but we are moving in right directions with all the right partnerships and collaboration.
Q. How successful was your first project?
Adopting the latest technology is always tricky. Either you need to connect with Industry leaders who are early adopters of the technology or you need to meet the right stakeholders who are passionate about implementing any solution that add value to their business goal. We were fortunate to have known a stakeholder who falls in the latter category.
We explained the idea and power of our envisaged solution which the client could reciprocate, but unfortunately, the client’s environment was not ready to adapt to the latest technology at that point. So we chalked out a plan to elevate the client’s environment first by providing a solution that will make them ready to adapt to the latest trend, and that was our first formal order.
Q. “Earning trust and respect of consumers all around the world is through consistent focus on delivering high quality in all of our actions.” How do you interpret this statement?
In a socially connected world, good as well as bad marketing spread very fast. If you are aligned with the client’s objective and help them resolve their pain areas in an effective and efficient manner, you certainly have an edge of gaining future business with them and getting positive customer reviews. Speaking the language of the customer, living the business pain that they are experiencing, and providing the right solution will help in gaining trust and respect.
Q. Between ever-increasing market sophistication, needs, and diversified customer base, many business and IT leaders don’t know what they really have—even when they think they do. How do you manage to serve the needs of the highly volatile market?
This is the most common scenario in Industrial IoT or Industrial Automation space. Everyone wants to adopt Industrial IoT/Industry 4.0 but have little idea about what to do, were to start from and how to go about. Hence we normally advocate a short consulting engagement that would help us better understand the current business and technology landscape of the client. We help them in building the strategy and operational road map, which is clearly aligned with their business goals.
Q. Do you have any new products ready to be launched?
We currently have first version of our product and solutions market available. These are already implemented and operational. However we are constantly innovating, adding new features and are working on the future release of the product. The next version of our Patent pending solution Rudrino OneBox is going to be out soon. We have already identified the key clients who are willing to do the beta test and be the early adopters of our solution.
Q. Where do you see your company a couple of years from now?
Considering the ever changing dynamics in the Technology space, we have to be on our toes to be competitive and relevant in the market. We are well aware of this fact and are thinking about 2 future product releases at any given point of time. We surely are here to stay and capture the broader market and compete with best of the breed.
