Jefferson Chen; A Charismatic Leader
Jefferson Chen is the CEO of ADVANCE.AI, and also a Partner at GSR Ventures, a leading venture capital firm in China who was the first investor in “unicorn” internet companies including Didi, Qunar, OFO, FunPlus, Inke, and others. Prior to starting ADVANCE.AI, Chen was head of private investing for Greater China at Farallon Capital (a leading alternative asset management firm with AUM of over US$20 billion) where he led investments into Huarong AMC, Cinda AMC, Didi, ND Micro Credit, and others. Chen previously also worked at Goldman Sachs where he was involved in the IPO and M&A transactions for numerous Asian companies including Bank of China, ICBC, CIMB, BankThai, Baidu, New Oriental, and others. Chen received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University and an MBA from Stanford University.
