The company is proud to be helping over 1 million subscribers worldwide transform the way they do business. And it is just getting started.

Founded in 2006 in New Zealand, Xero is one of the fastest growing software as a service company globally. Xero lead New Zealand, Australian, and United Kingdom cloud accounting markets, employing a world-class team of more than 2,000 people. Forbes identified Xero as the World’s Most Innovative Growth Company in 2014 and 2015.

Small business makes the world go round – it’s the heart of the global economy. Xero wants millions of small businesses to thrive through better tools, information, and connections. Xero: Always there

Best in class availability

With a record of 99.97% uptime, Xero delivers best-in-class availability. We use multiple redundancy technologies for our hardware, networks, data centers, and infrastructure. These ensure that if any component fails, Xero will keep on running – with little or no disruption to your service.

Built to perform at scale

Xero has been designed to grow with your business. Our high-performance servers, networks, and infrastructure ensure we can deliver quality service to you and our hundreds of thousands of other users.

Disaster recovery and readiness

Xero performs real-time data replication between our geographically diverse, protected facilities, to ensure your data is available and safely stored. This means that should even an unlikely event occur, such as an entire hosting facility failure, we can switch over quickly to a backup site to keep Xero and your business running. We transmit data securely, across encrypted links.

Constant updates and innovation

We’re constantly enhancing Xero, delivering new features and performance improvements. Updates are delivered frequently, with the majority of them being delivered without interrupting our service and disrupting users.

Why Xero?

Work with data you can depend on

“We Deliver High Integrity Accounting”

  • Data you can trust: Direct feeds from banks, software applications and financial institutions mean that data is untouched by human hand as it enters Xero.
  • Strong access controls: Xero’s wide range of security and detection measures enable tracking of who does what – and if issues are detected, alerts are raised.
  • Effective controls: Tools such as the assurance dashboard, reports on activity, account transactions and journals help advisors monitor the integrity of data in Xero.

Connect and collaborate online with cloud accounting

“Online accounting with us opens up a world of opportunities to increase efficiency, streamline the way you manage your business, and add moments of beauty into your working day.”

  • Run your business from anywhere: Access your business finances anytime, from any internet-connected device – phone, tablet, or computer.
  • Understand your real-time cash position: Know how you’re doing financially with daily updates from your bank accounts and credit cards.
  • Collaborate with your accountant, bookkeeper, and team: Invite your advisor to collaborate with you on your business in real-time. And give your staff access to the areas they need to do their job.
  • Get paid faster for better cash flow: Easily create and send invoices with online payments and invoice reminders for quicker payments.
  • Protect your business data: Xero backs up your data and protects it with multiple layers of security including industry-standard data encryption and secure data centers. It also offers two-step authentication as an additional layer of protection for your Xero account.
  • Help when you need it: If you need help, you can choose to let the support team view your data and provide the advice you need on using Xero. And online support articles and videos are available to help you get moving.

Protect your data with multiple layers of security

“We encrypt your business information and replicate it in several locations online. This means that it’s safe, secure and available when you need it.”

You control who sees what: No one has access to your organization’s data unless you invite them into your account. You control what users can see and do in Xero.

Extra security at login: Two-step authentication adds an extra layer of security to help protect your account. Each time you log in, you’ll need to enter a unique code generated by an app on your smartphone. Used by many internet banking and online services, two-step authentication makes it much harder for anyone to hack into your account.

Your personal information stays private: Xero knows that data security is important to you. It keeps your information private and only uses it for agreed purposes. For instance, if you need help with a feature in Xero, you can choose to let Xero Support view your data while they help you.

“The more ways you give your customers to pay you and the easier you make it, the less time you’ll spend chasing the payment. Xero makes it easier for your customers to pay you -- Accept payments straight from your online invoices and keep your cash flow positive.”
