Football World Cup 2018: Beverage Giant Coca Cola Launches Promotional Campaign

Football World Cup 2018: Beverage Giant Coca Cola Launches Promotional Campaign

Coca Cola, as being one of the key sponsors of Russia 2018 World Cup, launches a consumers’ campaign ‘The Football World Cup Promotion’ on Friday in Gaborone.

The company will be having promotions (expected to run until end of July) to reward its customers for their loyalty. The prizes to be won are television sets, home theatres and airtime.

The consumers are expected to follow a procedure for participation wherein they are required to buy any Coca Cola participating products such as Coke, Sprite and Sparletta with green cap. And SMS their unique code to win the prizes.

Former Zebras player Diphetogo Selolwane appreciated the move while lauding the company for creating the world cup hype even for those who are not in a position to travel the country which is hosting the event.

“Football is a global event which has brought men from all around the world across boundaries as one; billions of people are united by hopes, anxieties, passion and joy. We may all not be in Russia but we still follow the outcome,” Diphetogo Selolwane said. Mr Selolwane was quoted on The Voice.

The beverage company’s Franchise Manager Botswana and Namibia, Moitshepi Sefako said: “we pride ourselves in offering refreshments for every occasion to our customers during special moments.”

“We have been sponsoring the World Cup for forty years now. We thank our loyal customers for helping us to maintain our sponsorship,” he added. Mr Sefako was quoted on the portal.
